NVENTA EXPANDS CLINICAL AND SCIENTIFIC ADVISORY BOARD
NOT FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE - October 4, 2007
San Diego, California USA - Nventa Biopharmaceuticals Corporation (TSX:NVN) today announced the expansion of its recently formed Clinical and Scientific Advisory Board (CSAB), adding three members with experience directly relevant to the Company’s development programs, including its lead HspE7 clinical program for human papillomavirus (HPV)-related diseases.
Strengthening its already robust CSAB, these distinguished advisors add even more depth in the fields of immunology and clinical research in HPV-related diseases. The new members include:
- Mark H. Einstein, MD, MSc: Assistant Professor, Director of Clinical Research, Division of Gynecologic Oncology, Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology and Women’s Health, Albert Einstein College of Medicine and Montefiore Medical Center, New York. Dr. Einstein’s clinical focus is in the development of immunotherapeutics, primarily in the area of women’s health with a focus on HPV-related lesions.
- Warner K. Huh, MD: Assistant Professor, Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Division of Gynecologic Oncology, University of Alabama, Birmingham (UAB) and Associate Scientist, UAB Comprehensive Cancer Center. Dr. Huh’s expertise is in the development of clinical approaches for the treatment of cervical lesions resulting from HPV infection.
- Richard Ulevitch, PhD: Chairman, Department of Immunology, The Scripps Research Institute, San Diego, California. Dr. Ulevitch’s research is centered on understanding the innate immune system and the factors that contribute to the body’s identification of pathogens and the resulting immune responses.
